## FAQ
**What does RankSpot replace?**
The dozen SEO tools in a typical stack, and the hours it takes to run them: rank and AI visibility tracking, keyword and competitor research, writing and publishing articles, backlink outreach and forum replies. The cheapest plan of each of those tools adds up to about $560 a month.
**Do I pay for Claude or ChatGPT through RankSpot?**
No. Your agent keeps running on the Claude or ChatGPT plan you already pay for. RankSpot charges only for the SEO actions it runs, at the prices on the pricing page. If you chat or edit inside RankSpot instead of your own AI, that is charged at the AI cost plus 30%.
**How much will I spend in a month?**
There is no minimum: starting is free and nothing renews. Most sites spend $30 to $90 a month, depending on how many prompts you check and how often, and how many articles you publish. At our default settings (50 prompts checked daily, 5 articles a week, keyword and backlink updates) it comes to about $90. Turn any of it down or off in Settings › Schedules and the estimate updates as you go.
**Which agents can use RankSpot?**
Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Cursor, Claude Code, VS Code, Windsurf, Codex and n8n. Each connects with the same link, mcp.rankspot.ai, and the Connect page has the steps for each one.
**Do I need to be technical?**
No. You paste one link into your AI's connector settings and sign in. There are no API keys. After that you ask in plain English, and the dashboard shows the same data if you would rather click.
**Will it publish or send anything without asking?**
No. Articles and outreach emails wait for your OK before they go out, and forum replies are drafted for you to post as yourself. Scheduled tasks report back and ask before anything goes live.
**How is this different from an SEO data API?**
A data API gives you numbers. RankSpot also does the work: it writes and publishes articles, finds editors and sends pitches from your mailbox, drafts forum replies and asks Google to index new pages. It remembers your brand too, so each step starts where the last one ended.
**What does it remember, and who can see it?**
Your rivals, the prompts you track, the sources AI cites, the editors you have pitched, your articles, your brand voice and what worked. Memory is kept per workspace, so nothing crosses between brands or clients. Ask what it knows about your brand and it shows you, and you can tell it to change or forget anything from any chat.
**Can RankSpot do all of it for me?**
As much as you want. Anything you ask for once can run on a schedule, like an article a day or a weekly visibility check, and each run reports back. You still approve anything before it goes live.
