RankSpot - agent view
RankSpot is an automated AI search optimisation (AEO/GEO) and SEO agent. It does two jobs at once: getting a brand named in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews answers, and ranking its pages in ordinary Google search. It tracks both, finds the keywords, backlinks and forum threads worth going after, then writes and publishes articles to the customer's own site every week, with Google rankings read back from Search Console.
Endpoints
- MCP server (primary)
https://mcp.rankspot.ai- Streamable HTTP, OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration. Setup per client: https://www.rankspot.ai/mcp- Public API (v1)
https://api.rankspot.ai/v1- forty REST endpoints over your workspace.Authorization: Bearer <api-key>from Settings → API Keys;offset/limitpagination, max 100. Spec: /openapi.json, reference: https://api.rankspot.ai/docs.- Free tools (no account, no key)
POST https://www.rankspot.ai/api/tools/<slug>- rate limited per IP. Each endpoint takes the same fields as the form on its own page, listed under /free-tools.- AI citation index (open data)
GET https://www.rankspot.ai/api/most-cited-sources- JSON or CSV, CC BY 4.0.
Authentication
Two paths. The Public APItakes a bearer API key from Settings → API Keys, scoped to one workspace - use it for headless clients and plain REST. For an agent acting on a person's behalf, OAuth 2.1 authorization code with PKCE, discovered from the WWW-Authenticate header on an unauthenticated request to the MCP endpoint. Dynamic client registration (RFC 7591) is supported, so no client needs pre-registering. Tokens are workspace-scoped. The Keyless endpoints above need no credentials at all.
